Learning skill: Listening
Topic of lesson: Cultural Festivals in Malaysia
Level of students: Form 4
Language focus: Subject-Verb Agreement
Time: 2-period lesson (1 period = 30 minutes)
General objective: The lesson will expose the students on how to recognize words and
                               distinguish sounds.
Learning outcomes: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1)      Identify the words used in the audio recording.
2)      Extract information from the audio recording to complete the sheet provided.
3)      Summarise the story heard in the audio recording.
4)      Present their understanding of the story to the class.
Teaching aids: Laptop and projector, media player(video), evaluation sheets.

1) Teacher starts the class by:
-          Ice-breaking session
-          Recalling on previous lesson
-    Giving an overview of today’s lesson

Teaching (25 minutes)
1) Teacher gives instruction for today’s activity (5 minutes)
2) Teacher plays the video (10 minutes)

Activity 1: Listing Words
Students list words that they need to identify (10 minutes)

Activity 2: Fill In The Blanks
Students need to fill in the blanks using the words they listed (15 minutes)

Post-teaching (30 minutes)
1) Students exchange their papers with neighbouring students
2) Teacher shows the answer scheme for the first task (word list)
3) Students check the answers
4) Teacher shows the answer scheme for the second task (fill in the blanks)
5) Students check the answers
6) Teacher picks students randomly to present their summary
7) Teacher and other students may interrupt their presentation by asking questions
